‘The children meet Andy Warhol and paint with oil paints and markers’
Santorini Arts Factory invites children, aged from six to eleven years old, who love painting to participate in the second visual arts workshop.
The second from a cycle of six workshops aims at the childrens’ acquaintance and familiarisation with contemporary art, in particular pop art.
The children will meet Andy Warhol and his work through projected visual aids. An open discussion will follow, putting emphasis on the artist’s basic themes, such as the depiction of everyday objects and famous personalities in his work.
Starting with the artist’s creations and pop art, reference will be made to the Tomato Factory, in order for children to get inspired and draw works having the tomato as a basic theme.
Organizers and Facilitators: Maria Vasariotou – Art historian – Curator
