May 9, has been designated as “Europe Day”.
Τhanks to European initiative for May for the promotion and protection of chimneys, the Santorini Arts Factory of the Tomato Industrial Museum “D.Nomikos” actively participates in presenting part of the industrial history of the island.
May 9: Day of the “Ode to Joy”.
The musicians of the island, with the basic guidance of Lefteris Zorzos and the director Nikos Korakakis presented in the following channel (youtube: santoriniartsfactory) a different view of the Anthem of Europe.
The voluntary participation of all, was a key feature of the European initiative! That’s why we thank them warmly.
The musicians, played, sang, chanted, at the following Tomato Factories of the island :
Giannis Pantazis, bagpipe: Factory “D.Nomikos” in Monolithos,
Laura Gini, piano: Tomato Industrial Museum “D.Nomikos” in Vlychada,
Marina Dimitriou, voice and Christos Tsantoulis, harmonium: Prekas factory in Vlychada,
Loizos Sorotos, Violin and Nikos Vassalos, Lute: Kanakaris Factory, in Exo Gialos Fira,
Nikos Varvarigos, cantor of Byzantine music: Santo Factory, in Monolithos.
