Every day, a theme that leads us to get to know the history of the different space.
Day 1: World Environment Day (5/6): #environmentMW
When the factory was built, an attempt was made to highlight the local architecture. Santorini pumice was used as well as various volcanic stones. Thus, the building was integrated harmoniously and with absolute respect into the surrounding area.
Our basic rule as the Tomato Industrial Museum is to protect and preserve the Environment and not just through a like.
Day 2: #museumsandtechnology
The role of the use of social media in the communication of the museum is extremely important. for example, on our YouTube channel you can find stories from the museum.

Day 3 : FoodNW
It is an excellent source of vitamin A, vitamin C, vitamin K, potassium and manganese. It is also very rich in vitamin E (α-tocopherol), thiamin, niacin, vitamin B6, folic acid, magnesium, phosphorus, copper and β-carotene. It has a strong antioxidant effect which it owes mainly to the high content of lycopene
Day 4: World Oceans Day
The complex was built near the sea, next to the beach of Vlychada, to use the sea water for washing the tomatoes and cooling the machines.
Water was a necessary element of the history of the area.
Day 5 : #aimw
Dear Museum : The object of the project is the development of narrative museum scenarios using innovative applications of augmented and virtual reality, with the aim of the experiential personalized experience of visiting an industrial space that has been transformed into a “museum of itself”. As a case study, the old Tomato Factory “D. Nomikos” in Vlychada, Santorini, which has been converted into the Tomato Industrial Museum (BMT). Particular emphasis will be placed on the approach to daily life and work in the old factory, while at the same time, in the context of the relevant research, a method will be develope
The project will expand current scientific, research and applied knowledge in the field of design and development of mixed, augmented and virtual reality digital applications that are restored and enhanced in the context of museum use.

Day 6 : #HeritageMW
In this theme we have chosen to present you part of our own cultural heritage.
During your visit to the museum, there are videos with interviews of old workers, some of which you can see on our youtube channel. Every time one of them visits the museum, we see their smile, their emotion and they proudly tell us different stories.

Day 7: #SunMW
After boiling, they put the juice into the shallow vessels, which were placed for seven to ten days on the roof to complete the dehydration in the sun. And as Marketousi from Akrotiri says…: To smell the sun!!!
