Educational Programs for Students at the Tomato Industrial Museum “D.Nomikos” Now Underway

Tomato Schools

The Tomato Industrial Museum “D.Nomikos” welcomes students of all ages through a series of educational programs specially designed for school groups.

Drawing inspiration from the history of the Santorini tomato and its role in the island’s industrial and social development, these programs combine knowledge with hands-on experience and creative participation. Students explore the process of tomato paste production, tour the spaces of the historic factory, and take part in activities that foster imagination, collaboration, and creative thinking.

The programs are designed for:

  • Kindergarten and primary school students, with age-appropriate activities
  • Middle and high school students, with a focus on historical, economic, and social perspectives

Through experiential learning, students engage with Santorini’s agricultural and industrial heritage, developing skills in observation and teamwork.

Learning through experience — creating together
