The Tomato Industrial Museum “D.Nomikos” supports Santorini’s major sports
event as a sponsor and takes part for the second consecutive year with its
very own running team.
Once again, the Tomato Industrial Museum “D.Nomikos” took part in Santorini Experience 2026, supporting the island’s major sports event as a sponsor and participating for the second consecutive year with its RUNNING TOMATOES team in the 5 km Trail Run.
This year, the most delicious running team brought together Museum staff and friends, as well as members of Red Grape Adventures and Santorini Sea Kayak, in a joint effort that highlights the importance of collaboration and resulted in two podium finishes for RUNNING TOMATOES.
Foteini Papadopoulou, Director of the Museum, secured 2nd place in the women’s category, while Giannis Massas, from Red Grape Adventures, took 2nd place in the men’s category. Their achievements brought great joy to the entire team and highlighted the sporting spirit and fair play that accompanies our participation in the event.
For the Tomato Industrial Museum “D.Nomikos”, supporting Santorini Experience is part of a broader commitment to strengthening the connection between culture, sport and tourism. Santorini Experience has become an established event on the island’s calendar, offering a unique opportunity to showcase Santorini’s natural beauty and highlight another side of the island, beyond its cultural heritage and well-established tourism appeal.
Through the participation of our team and our sponsorship, the Museum reaffirms its commitment to actively supporting initiatives that bring people together, strengthen the local community and showcase the diverse experiences Santorini has to offer.
