Discover Santorini’s starry sky

A special stargazing event at Vlychada Beach

The Tomato Industrial Museum “D.Nomikos” invites visitors of all ages to a special evening dedicated to observing the wonders of the night sky on Saturday, September 5 at 7:30 PM, with free admission.
The evening will start at the museum with the engaging presentation “Astronomy and the Universe”, delivered by members of the Greek Amateur Astronomy Association. Through a specially designed visual presentation, participants will have the opportunity to explore fundamental concepts of astronomy in a simple and accessible way, gaining the knowledge and inspiration they need to look up at the starry sky with a different perspective.

The presentation will lead into an open discussion, giving the audience the
opportunity to ask questions, share their curiosities and discover more about the
fascinating world of celestial objects.
From the Museum to the Stars

As the last light of day fades beyond the horizon and the night sky begins to reveal its secrets, we will make our way to Vlychada Beach. There, specially positioned telescopes will await visitors for a unique stargazing experience beneath the skies of Santorini.

With the guidance of members of the Greek Amateur Astronomy Association, participants will have the opportunity to observe Saturn, spectacular star clusters, the Andromeda Galaxy, the Moon and other celestial objects, discovering a different side of the night sky.


The evening aims to offer an introduction to the fascinating world of astronomy while giving visitors of all ages the opportunity to enjoy a unique stargazing experience. The event is held with the participation of members of the Greek Amateur Astronomy Association.
