Dedicated Guided Tour by Manolis Lignos at the Exhibition “Traces of Theraean Folklore”

The periodic exhibition “Traces of Theraean Folklore” continues to welcome the public to the hospitable space of the Industrial Museum of Tomat “D. Nomikos”, inviting young and old to travel back in time and experience the authentic, traditional way of life of Santorini. The exhibition will run until Friday, August 15, offering a rare opportunity to come into contact with the rich cultural heritage of the island, through authentic objects, photographs, sounds and evidence of the daily life of older generations.
A special experience for visitors will be the special guided tour that will take place on Saturday, August 9 at 19:00, by Mr. Manolis Lignos, founder of the Folklore Museum of Santorini and one of the most important scholars of local tradition. With his unique narrative ability and deep knowledge, he will introduce us to the secrets of Thera folklore, vividly highlighting the wealth of customs, professions, language and daily life of the people of the island.

We invite you to discover traditional Santorini, through the living history of the exhibits and to experience a unique cultural experience that connects the past with the present. An exhibition dedicated to the memory, identity and soul of Thera.
